The Borough of Barnet lies in the northwestern parts of London and covers an area of 33.49 square miles. The area is linked to the other parts of the English capital by its own tube station which was opened in 1923 and in 2011 was recognised as a Grade II edifice. It sits on the Northern Line and provides transportation services to over 2.5 million people on an annual basis. The district of Hampstead Green Suburb, NW11, has a population of about 13.000 residents and comprises of just over 5.000 houses and estates. The area was designed by Barry Parker and Sir Raymond Unwin and is considered to be one of the finest examples of early 20th century British town planning. It lies in the southern parts of the borough and is one of the capital’s most desirable residential districts. Several open spaces are located in the area which is why it is described as one of the greenest neighbourhoods in Barnet.
